Man, I really love this! I think the quality could do with more work. Maybe changing the bitrate to a bit of a higher number will do the trick. :)

The melody is good, I like the plucks and the chords. The beat is nice.

I never knew you could play good piano like that! How long have you been playing for? Also, I use the piano roll because I'm a loser.

Good work! :)

rherdalaezian responds:

I didn't record the melodies, i used piano roll, but I CONCEIVED the idea on a piano before i had access to this software.
I've played the piano for 5 years.
Thanks!

Not bad! This kinda reminds me of earrape or bass boost, I think the feel is a little interesting. The chords and the melodies were good.

Well done! :)

The beat is nice, the choice of instruments is good. I like the ambient feel of the song. The melody and the chords are pretty cool!

Well done! :)

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

The chords and the melodies are really nice. The transition to the drop is nice.

Maybe add some saws or some pads(make sure to sidechain the saws!) to make the drop sound more relevant. I think your change of chord progression is amazing, that's a skill that I'm not too good at yet.

Your choice of instruments is good. The mixing is much better than your previous songs! At 1:24, the song gets louder for some reason(maybe the strings, idk).

Adding white noise would make a good transition.

I don't have very many problems with this. Well done! :)

rherdalaezian responds:

5 stars from you? :o
Yeah at 1:24 i made the strings louder because I was scared that the end might get repetitive. I did this to add a bit of variation.
Also, where there was a chord progression (ie not in the drop) it was the same the whole way through. I wonder what you mean by it changing.
Thanks!

Not bad! It's a little worse than your last song though but that's not gonna be the end of the world.

By the way, if you're wondering what genre this is, it usually depends on the BPM:
If the BPM is 100 or 105, then it might be classed as pop.
If it is 115, it's classed as OMFG style or bounce.
If it's 126/128, it's classed as a form of house.
If it's 150, then it's classed as dubstep.
If it's 160, then I think it's classed as future bass(I think).

I think you get it.

Anyway, nice work!

This is much better than your last song.

The percussion at the beginning reminded me of Dimrain47 a little. The violin was a little too loud before the drop.

I think the transition to the drop is ok but you could add something as simple as a snare or a sound effect right before the drop to make it better.

I have nothing bad to say about the drop. There's nothing too loud, there's nothing too quiet. The mixing is perfect. Your choice of instruments is good and your melodies aren't bad! Add some pads to fill the space.

I don't know what genre to class this as, by the way. For now, just class it as miscellaneous.

Well done!

rherdalaezian responds:

good to hear! yeah, listening again I think the violin was too loud.
I never seemed to get the hang of pads. to me they sound annoying and slow, but I can try if you want.
thanks!!!!

This isn't actually terrible for your first song! I've made worse when I first started.

The percussion is not too bad. I like it!

I feel like the mixing could do with a little more work. Some parts seem louder compared to the volume of the song, especially the snare.

The plugins you chose are really good! They sound very professional.

Well done! :D

rherdalaezian responds:

huh. thanks. I didn't expect this!
I'll try to balance the volume next time =)

I've never actually seen rock on Newgrounds. It's nice to see something that's not EDM.

I don't have anything to criticise. Well done! :D

floorboardofficial responds:

Thanks for checking it out! And yeah there's not a ton outside EDM on here, but us genre-deviants are definitely here if you look for us (you can search by category in the audio portal).

This kinda reminds me of Gourmet Race. Good job! :D
